Bring a smile, a kind word, a happy face and you will enjoy the
day much more! Cameras are welcome in all my classes. Show and tell of
other projects done in my classes are always a treat. Basic supplies
that make you happy during class are things you can bring. If you like a
chair, bring it, but if you can't, then understand the one you get to
use in class is one you didn't have to lug. This goes for lots of other
things, too.
If you are taking a class at a show or special location be sure that
this list hasn't been changed to suit the location. Such as irons, kit
prices, tools to bring...these can change with the venue.
A mystery class is always fun and this one will also take you on the adventure of meeting the other people in your class. You will be exchanging strips, cutting them up and sewing them into a wonderful pattern. You might even have some strips left over to sew a border!
Using only Batik fabric, we will start with a strip exchange. This will give us a lot of different fabrics/colors to work with. This is my example of a saturated batik fabric.
**Batik fabrics are mostly sold at Quilt shops. They are dyed and most of them have no wrong side. When purchasing this fabric for class, remember that you will also be getting fabrics from others and it would be nice if each of you gave your favorite color!
